Minibus carrying hazelnut workers plunges into a ravine: 3 people lost their lives

A minibus carrying agricultural workers traveling from Şanlıurfa to Ordu to harvest hazelnuts has plunged into a ravine in the Suşehri district of Sivas. In the accident, 3 people lost their lives, and a total of 18 people were injured, 4 of them critically.

In a traffic accident that occurred in the morning hours at the Şarköy location of the Geminbeli Pass in the Suşehri district of Sivas, a minibus carrying agricultural workers lost control and plunged into a ravine. The license plate of the minibus and the identity of the driver, who were traveling from Şanlıurfa to Ordu to harvest hazelnuts, have not yet been disclosed.

TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE REGION

Following the accident, health, gendarmerie, fire department, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. The passengers in the minibus that fell into the ravine were extracted from their location through the intensive efforts of the teams. After receiving initial medical intervention, the injured were transported by ambulance to Suşehri State Hospital and Zara State Hospital.

3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES, 18 INJURED INCLUDING 4 CRITICAL

According to initial findings, 3 agricultural workers lost their lives at the scene of the accident. 18 people who were in the minibus were injured. It was learned that the condition of 4 of the injured is critical.
