Molotov cocktail attack on the home of Menteşe Mayor Aras's family

A Molotov cocktail was thrown onto the balcony of an apartment in the Çardak Apartment building, located on Doğan Street in the Muslihittin neighborhood of Muğla's Menteşe district.

Numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. According to information obtained, it was learned that the apartment targeted in the attack belongs to the family of Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal Aras.

It was stated that Köksal Aras's mother and grandfather were in the house at the time of the incident.

According to eyewitnesses, two people got out of a taxi and threw the bottles they were holding onto the apartment's balcony.

The small-scale fire that broke out on the balcony was extinguished by the residents of the apartment building before it could spread.

While there were no injuries or loss of life in the attack, cologne bottles were found at the scene. Police teams have launched a large-scale investigation to apprehend the fleeing attackers.
