The incident occurred around 16:30 in the Beyhekim neighborhood of the central Selçuklu district on Fırat Street. According to the information obtained, when the light commercial vehicle with license plate 06 DZ 6051, which was considered a theft suspect, stopped at the traffic lights, the police team arriving from behind wanted to apprehend the suspects.

At that moment, the suspects in the vehicle, Özcan C. and Mustafa S., opened fire on the police teams and fled. Police officers S.Ü. and B.K. were injured in the incident. The suspects, Özcan C. and Mustafa S., were apprehended and taken into custody in a short time by police teams who blockaded the area and conducted strict inspections.

The moment of the incident was reflected on the KGYS camera. The footage shows the police officers approaching the suspect vehicle being fired upon and the suspects fleeing.
