Nesim İba, the husband of AKP Edirne Provincial Chair Belgin İba, caused a scene at the Edirne Municipality building after his property was denied a permit.

According to allegations, the incident took place at the Edirne Municipality in the morning hours. Nesim İba arrived at the Edirne Municipality Department of Zoning and Urban Planning building around 10:25 AM and entered the office of Acting Director Dinçer Asar.
According to witness accounts, Nesim İba, who entered the building with a gun at his waist, was there due to a dispute over a permit.
HE WANTED TO TURN A GIRLS' DORMITORY INTO A HOTEL
According to the report by HalkTV, Gümüş İnşaat Nalburiye ve Sanayi Ticaret LTD ŞTİ, a company in which Nesim İba is a partner, built a girls' dormitory on Kanarya Street in the Abdurrahman neighborhood. Later on, there was an attempt to convert this dormitory building into a hotel.
For this reason, when an application was made to the municipality to obtain a hotel license, the municipality rejected the application on the grounds that “the conditions for a hotel license were not met.”
Since the municipality had granted permission for a dormitory on the land and the zoning requirements for a hotel are different, a business opening and operating license could not be issued.
According to the allegations, the place, which is a dormitory building, continues to operate under the name “Aliba Hotel.”
HE HURLED INSULTS AND THREATS
Nesim İba, who came to the Edirne Municipality Department of Zoning and Urban Planning and entered the office of Acting Director Dinçer Asar, reiterated his request for a permit.
When Asar gave a refusal again, Nesim İba began hurling insults and threats, and punched the desk and the computer.
The computer in the office was smashed. Although municipal staff who heard the noises coming from the office wanted to intervene, they were unsuccessful.
HE LEFT THE MUNICIPALITY IN FRONT OF THE POLICE
According to eyewitnesses, police teams who arrived at the building upon notification tried to persuade Nesim İba for a long time.
Later, former AKP Acting Provincial Chair Aydoğan Akıncı, who came to the municipality, persuaded Nesim İba to leave the building. The two left the municipality in front of the police.
