New park in İzmir named after Ferdi Zeyrek
The name of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek has been given to a newly opened park in Kiraz, İzmir. Zeyrek had passed away following an electrical accident at his home.

Kiraz Municipality has decided to name the park completed in İstiklal Neighborhood after Ferdi Zeyrek, who passed away at the age of 48 following a tragic accident.
This decision was accepted unanimously during the Kiraz Municipal Council meeting.
Kiraz Mayor Nasuh Coşkun, in his statement following the decision, said, "Mayor Ferdi left deep marks in all of our hearts with his honesty and love for his hometown. We will keep his name and memory alive in this park, which was built for the children and youth of our district. I would like to thank all our council members who contributed to the unanimous passage of this decision."
