According to the statement by AFAD, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir at 22:48.
Following this earthquake, the first aftershock occurred at 22:50 with a magnitude of 4.2, and a total of 26 aftershocks were recorded in the district by 23:34.
While 3 of the aftershocks that occurred in Sındırgı within approximately 1 hour were recorded with a magnitude of 4 or higher, earthquakes with magnitudes of 4 occurred at 22:51 and 4.2 at 23:04.
It was determined that the depths of the earthquakes varied between 5.1 and 23.88 kilometers.
