One more person arrested in connection with 'girl trouble' murder

The incident occurred on September 17 at the market section of a gas station located on Yeni Bağdat Street in the Köşklü Çeşme neighborhood of Gebze district.

According to allegations, an argument broke out between Toprak Yiğitdoğan (19), who had just started his shift at the market, and his adversary Yiğit T. (18), who entered the store at that time, due to a 'girl trouble' issue. As the argument escalated into a fight, Toprak Yiğitdoğan was shot. Yiğitdoğan, who was rushed to the hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life.

Launching an investigation into the incident, police teams apprehended the perpetrator Yiğit T., as well as suspects identified as A.M. and Ş.S., who were believed to be involved in the incident. The 3 detained suspects were referred to the Gebze Courthouse today after completing their procedures at the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate.

While Ş.S. was released by the court with a travel ban and judicial control conditions, Yiğit T. and A.M. were arrested and sent to prison. Continuing the investigation, the teams took E.Ç., who was determined to have been involved in the incident, into custody the day before yesterday.

E.Ç., who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested and sent to prison.
