Opened fire on the group arguing with his girlfriend

In Çorum, an individual opened fire on a group that was arguing with his girlfriend. A child who had no connection to the incident was injured as a result of the gunfire.

The incident took place in the Bahçelievler neighborhood. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between girls at Yunus Emre Park for an unknown reason.

Learning that his girlfriend was arguing, B.C.D. (17) arrived at the park area by car and opened fire on the other party with a handgun he was carrying.

As a result of the gunfire, a child named A.H.Ö. (16), who was stated to have no connection to the incident, was injured.

Following the sound of gunfire, numerous police teams and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene.

A.H.Ö., who was injured in the leg, was taken to the Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital by ambulance for treatment after receiving initial intervention from medical teams at the scene.

ESCAPE FROM THE SCENE CAUGHT ON CAMERA

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. Footage of the suspect getting into his vehicle and fleeing the scene after committing the shooting was captured by a business's security camera.

The suspect of the shooting, B.C.D., was apprehended and taken into custody shortly after the incident by police teams, along with the handgun used in the crime.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
