In an incident that occurred in the Beştelsiz neighborhood of Istanbul's Zeytinburnu district, a dispute over a parking space quickly turned into an armed clash. The disagreement, which began on Friday between Sedat Arıkan and Nadir K., flared up again today. As the argument escalated, Nadir K. drew a weapon from his waistband and opened fire on Sedat Arıkan and his brother, Sinan Arıkan.

Police and medical teams arrived at the scene and secured the area. The severely injured Sedat Arıkan and Sinan Arıkan were rushed to the hospital. However, despite all medical interventions, Sedat Arıkan could not be saved and lost his life. Sedat Arıkan's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.

Following the incident, Nadir K. and his relative İbrahim K. were taken into custody. Both suspects were arrested on charges of 'intentional homicide' and sent to prison. The moment of the armed clash was recorded by a bystander on a mobile phone.

WITNESSES DESCRIBE THE INCIDENT

Burak Ereyatan, a local shopkeeper on the street where the incident took place, said, "The first incident happened around 5:00 PM on Friday. The incident occurred because of parking. Our brother who passed away questioned why they were parking there. These are events stemming from trivial reasons." Ali Solmaz, who tried to break up the fight, stated, "I saw them fighting. I was going to break up the fight. At that moment, Nadir came from behind with a gun in his hand. When I saw the gun, I had to pull back."

This tragic event has caused a great stir in Zeytinburnu and resulted in the unnecessary loss of a life.
