According to the information obtained, the imam and the congregation, who arrived at the mosque for the afternoon prayer, noticed a person lying on the floor in the imam's room. Upon the imam's report, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the mosque.
Health teams determined during their examination that the person lying on the floor had lost their life.
Following the investigations conducted at the mosque, it was determined that the deceased person was 54-year-old İhsan Yavuz.
Yavuz's lifeless body was taken to the hospital morgue to determine the exact cause of death, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
