Police officer Kaygusuz, injured in traffic accident, dies in line of duty
Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi announced that police officer Melih Kaygusuz, who was injured in a traffic accident while on duty in Şırnak, has died in the line of duty.

Minister Çiftçi, in a post on his social media account, stated, "Police officer Melih Kaygusuz, serving in the Cizre District Police Department in Şırnak, was injured in a traffic accident while on duty on July 6 and passed away on September 3 at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
I wish God's mercy upon our martyr, and extend my condolences to his grieving family, our heroic police force, and our nation. May his place be in heaven," he said.
