Police officer struck by vehicle during inspection dies
Police officer Mustafa Peksoy, who was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle during a traffic inspection in Istanbul's Esenler district, has died in the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

On August 19, on Mehmet Akif İnan Street in the Oruçreis neighborhood of Istanbul's Esenler district, a car struck police officer Mustafa Peksoy while he was conducting a traffic inspection.
Peksoy, who was critically injured in the accident, was taken to the hospital by medical teams.
Despite all interventions at the hospital, Mustafa Peksoy passed away today.
The martyr's funeral will be held in his hometown of Andırın, Kahramanmaraş, after a ceremony to be held tomorrow at the Istanbul Police Department.
