Police vehicle that struck two women walking on the sidewalk caught on camera
Footage has emerged of the accident in Şişli, Istanbul, where a police vehicle struck two women walking on the sidewalk.

The accident occurred on September 10 at approximately 08:30 in front of a shopping mall on Büyükdere Street in Şişli.
G.U., a female police officer with one year of service, lost control of the vehicle while reversing on the street and struck two women, Ayşegül Tufan (24) and Ergül Kaya (43), who were walking on the sidewalk.
In the accident, where Ergül Kaya was seriously injured, Ayşegül Tufan sustained minor injuries. Upon notification, medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The two injured individuals were taken to the hospital by ambulance after receiving initial intervention at the scene.
Ergül Kaya lost her life at the hospital where she was taken, despite all interventions. The police officer who caused the accident was taken into custody.

Security camera footage of the accident, in which the police officer struck the two women walking on the sidewalk, has emerged. The footage shows the police vehicle reversing and striking the two women, followed by citizens gathering at the scene.
