In Bursa, a person allegedly printed posters and hung them on streets and avenues to humiliate someone he had a dispute with. Citizens heading to work in the morning could not believe their eyes when they saw the posters attached to street poles and walls. Some recorded the photos on their mobile phones, while others gathered in front of the posters in astonishment, examining them at length.
Citizens remarked, "How are we to know that the person who hung these is telling the truth? Perhaps they are slandering him. Isn't what they are doing very shameful?" Some citizens reached out to E.M., the man whose photos were on the posters, to share the situation. The man, unable to sleep, told the citizens who contacted him, "I am married, and the person in the photo is my close friend, my best friend. I will find the person who did this and take them to court," before heading to the police station.
Following the incident, teams from the Emek Police Station launched an investigation to identify the individual who hung the posters. While security cameras in the area are being examined one by one, municipal teams have also been mobilized to collect the posters.
