Road collapses in Ankara's Keçiören following heavy rain, multiple parked vehicles damaged

Heavy rainfall in Ankara during the evening hours caused a road collapse on Gülgün Street in Keçiören; teams have launched operations in the area.

Following heavy rainfall that was effective in Ankara during the evening hours, flooding occurred in the Keçiören district. A section of the road on Gülgün Street collapsed, causing damage to numerous vehicles parked in the area.

Due to the collapse, some vehicles were trapped among the debris and runoff at the side of the road. Upon notification, municipal and fire department teams were dispatched to the area.

Teams have begun efforts to remove the stranded vehicles from the area. While security measures were taken on the street, it was stated that investigations into the extent of the damage are ongoing.

Due to the flood, parked vehicles were left among mud and puddles.

Floodwater accumulated in the area spread to the location where the vehicles were parked.

Following the road collapse, some vehicles were dragged or stuck in the mud.

Efforts were made to remove some of the vehicles from the area.

The collapse caused damage to vehicles parked on the side of the road.

Fire department teams carried out operations in the area.
