Sad news regarding the dialysis incident in Burdur
Mehmet Demir, one of the patients who fell ill after dialysis treatment on May 25 in Burdur and was subsequently transferred to the Antalya Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, has passed away.

Some of the patients who underwent dialysis at Burdur State Hospital on Saturday, May 25, during the 08:00-12:00 and 12:00-16:00 sessions, returned to the hospital with complaints such as dizziness, nausea, confusion, and an inability to get off the transport vehicle.
Following this, the hospital administration called all patients who had received dialysis that day back to the hospital. After conducting examinations, they transferred 33 patients who had been treated at the dialysis center that day to state hospitals and private dialysis centers in Afyonkarahisar, Isparta, Antalya, and Bucak. Of the 33 transferred patients, 14 had been intubated.
In a statement made yesterday by the Burdur Provincial Health Directorate regarding the health status of the patients, it was reported that the number of intubated patients had dropped to 4, and it was noted that the cause of the patients' illness had not yet been clarified.
SAD NEWS FROM ANTALYA
Mehmet Demir, one of the 4 patients who were intubated and transferred by ambulance to the Antalya Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine Hospital for treatment, passed away 3 days after the incident. It was learned that there has been no change in the condition of the other 3 intubated patients.
