Sarar strike by Öz Büro-İş Union members continues
The new collective bargaining agreement negotiations between Sarar and the Öz Büro-İş Union, affiliated with the Hak-İş Confederation, which began on March 20, 2024, resulted in a strike decision in their 8th month due to a failure to reach an agreement on wages. The strike, covering a total of 400 workers across 69 stores in 29 cities, has been ongoing since August 29.

Workers who went on strike at 69 Sarar stores in 29 provinces had stated, "Our strike will continue until a collective bargaining agreement is signed."
In a statement, the Öz Büro-İş Union announced that "they wanted to sign the collective agreement without affecting the stores, and for this reason, they would begin the strike at other Sarar stores in the coming days in sequence."
One of the locations of the strike, which has been ongoing for 29 days, was the Panora Shopping Mall in Ankara. Workers unfurled banners in front of the Sarar store and hung "There is a strike at this workplace" signs to demand their rights.
