Scandal in Samsun: Attempt to marry off 14-year-old girl to 17-year-old boy

Teams from the Bafra District Gendarmerie Command, while conducting patrol activities to inspect weddings in the Dededağı neighborhood, discovered that a 14-year-old child was being forced into marriage with a 17-year-old named S.
While an investigation into the matter has been launched by the Bafra Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the 14-year-old child has been taken under protection.
Upon the instructions of the prosecutor's office, gendarmerie teams detained the child's mother G.G., father I.G., the 17-year-old boy's mother H.D. and father O.D., as well as the 17-year-old S. himself.
The suspects were taken to the gendarmerie station for processing, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
