Schizophrenic young man murders his sleeping family in Adana! 2 dead, 1 critically injured

In Adana, the family's schizophrenic son shot his mother, father, and grandmother in the head with a handgun while they were sleeping. While the father was critically injured, the mother and grandmother died at the scene. The suspect was apprehended by homicide detectives inside the house.

The incident occurred in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy neighborhood of Adana's Sarıçam district. According to allegations, 26-year-old S.A., who suffers from schizophrenia, had been arguing with his family for some time over religious matters.

During the night, S.A. shot his mother Mintiha Aydın (61), his father İlyas Aydın (63), and his grandmother Ülfet Köse (80) in the head with a handgun while they were asleep.

HE CALLED THE POLICE AND SAID HIS FAMILY HAD BEEN SHOT

After executing his family, S.A. called the police and reported that his family had been shot in the house.

Following the call, medical and police teams were dispatched to the area. Medical teams arriving at the scene transported the critically injured father, İlyas Aydın, to Adana City Hospital.

It was determined that the mother, Aydın, and the grandmother, Köse, had died at the scene.

S.A., who gave contradictory statements to the police, was taken into custody. It was learned that the suspect confessed to the murders in his initial statement at the police station.
