In Çorum, 2 foreign nationals assaulted a school principal and a staff member. The incident was captured second-by-second on security cameras.

The incident occurred around 15:00 at the Başöğretmen Anatolian Imam Hatip Secondary School. According to the information obtained, school principal Ömer Atılgan and school staff member Mehmet Öztürk called the 112 Emergency Call Center to request assistance for a student named S.D.S. who had fainted in the school hallway.
The school principal also called the child's family to inform them of the situation. The student's parent, who arrived at the school and reacted to the student being sent to the hospital by ambulance, assaulted the school principal and staff member Mehmet Öztürk along with a male individual who was with them.
School principal Ömer Atılgan and school staff member Mehmet Öztürk were transported to the hospital by the ambulance they had called for their student. Police teams have launched an investigation to apprehend the foreign national suspects who fled after the incident.

In a written statement issued by the Çorum Governor's Office, it was stated that school principal Ömer Atılgan and school staff member Mehmet Öztürk, who received outpatient treatment, are in good health and that the matter is being closely monitored by the Governor's Office.
