Schools closed for one day in Van
Due to adverse weather conditions, schools have been closed for one day in the districts of İpekyolu, Edremit, and Tuşba in Van.

In a written statement issued by the Van Governorship, it was stated: "As a result of the assessment made with our Regional Directorate of Meteorology, due to the risk of accidents that could endanger the safety of our students and teachers caused by icing and frost, which are expected to occur as temperatures drop to minus 6 degrees across our province tonight and tomorrow morning, and the potential negative impact on road transport; education and training have been suspended for 1 day on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in all official/private formal and non-formal education institutions in the İpekyolu, Edremit, and Tuşba districts. Disabled and pregnant personnel working in public institutions and organizations will also be considered on administrative leave."
