Search operations launched for person who fell from bridge in Haliç
Search operations have been launched for a citizen who fell from the Unkapanı Metro Bridge in Beyoğlu.

The incident occurred around 22:30 on the Unkapanı Metro Bridge in the Arap Cami neighborhood of Beyoğlu.
According to the information obtained, a citizen, whose identity has not yet been determined but who is known to be male, fell from the bridge into the Haliç. Upon notification, Coast Guard, medical, and marine police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Teams launched search operations for the fallen citizen. After approximately 2 hours of work, the person could not be located. It was learned that the teams will continue their search efforts with the first light of morning.
One of the eyewitnesses to the incident, Captain Hasan Mutlu, said, "He fell directly into the sea, but there is a possibility he will surface in the coming hours.
Coast Guard teams and the marine police have been searching for 2 hours, but there is no result. My boat was not here; perhaps if my boat had been here, I would have saved him. Currently, the Coast Guard and marine police are conducting a search.
He may surface in 1-2 days. They will continue the search operations tomorrow," he said.
