Son of İYİ Party official drowns in Batman River
The 23-year-old son of İYİ Party Batman Provincial Chair Şehmus Uras has drowned in the Batman River, where he had entered to cool off.

According to the information obtained, Taha Yasin Uras (23), the son of İYİ Party Batman Provincial Chair Şehmus Uras, who had recently returned to his hometown of Batman after completing his military service, entered the Batman River to cool off.
Seeing that Uras had disappeared from sight shortly after, his relatives entered the water to save the young man. Upon notification by those nearby, health, AFAD, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
Before the teams reached the scene, Uras was pulled from the water by his relatives and handed over to the medical teams.
Uras, who was determined by medical teams to have lost his life, had his body taken to the Batman Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
