Sound bomb attack in Küçükçekmece

Two people were injured at a business in Küçükçekmece after two masked suspects on a motorcycle threw a sound bomb.

According to the information received, two masked suspects arrived on a motorcycle in front of a tobacco shop on Hakan Street in the İnönü neighborhood in the evening, threw a sound bomb inside, and fled.

Ş.A. (28) and F.S. (58), who were inside the business, were injured in the explosion. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.

It was learned that Ş.A., who was taken to the hospital by medical personnel, is not in life-threatening condition, and F.S. received outpatient treatment.

The police, who cordoned off the scene, conducted an investigation at the business and its surroundings.

"MY HUSBAND LAY ON THE GROUND WHEN THEY THREW THE BOMB"

Yonca Türkmen, the wife of the business owner, told reporters that she was at home during the incident, while her husband was at the shop.

Türkmen said, "My husband lay on the ground when they threw the bomb. We cannot stay here; we are under threat. I beg them to find them now. Someone could have died here. They previously shot at my car and the tobacco shop as well."

Eyewitness Mahir Çok also stated that he saw two masked people on a motorcycle, and that they threw an object at the shop and fled.

On the other hand, the moment of the explosion was recorded by the business's security camera.

The police's efforts to apprehend the suspects are ongoing.
