Specialist sergeant kills father and son in rent dispute
In the Akşehir district of Konya, a father and his son were shot and killed at their workplace by a specialist sergeant during an argument allegedly over a rent issue.

The incident occurred at the Akşehir Industrial Site at around 07:30. According to the information obtained, a specialist sergeant identified as E.K., who is stationed at the Akşehir Prison, went to the workplace of furniture manufacturer Necati Çınar and his son Yavuz Çınar (30) and shot and critically wounded the father and son following an argument that allegedly broke out over a rent issue.
Upon the notification of local tradespeople, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Necati Çınar and his son Yavuz Çınar were taken to Akşehir State Hospital by ambulance. Despite all interventions made there, the father and son could not be saved and lost their lives.
The murder suspect E.K. was taken into custody by the Akşehir District Police Department teams following the incident.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
