Steam rising from sidewalk after explosion sound in Karadeniz Ereğli causes alarm

In the Ereğli district of Zonguldak, steam rising from a culvert following an explosion, which is estimated to have occurred in a factory's pipeline, alarmed citizens.

An explosion, believed to have occurred in a high-pressure steam distribution pipeline at a factory in the Karadeniz Ereğli district, caused panic.

Explosion sounds were heard from the steam (high-pressure steam) pipes located at the Devrek junction. As steam rose from the culvert, numerous fire and medical teams were dispatched to the area following the explosion. According to initial findings, there were no casualties in the incident, and a security cordon was established around the area. The sound of the explosion was heard from many parts of Ereğli.

Factory officials stated that the cause of the incident is being investigated and that the situation has been brought under control.

Authorities also announced that assessments of the material damage caused by the explosion have begun and that necessary repair work is underway.

Local residents expressed that they experienced great fear following the explosion and came out of their homes.
