Suicide attempt on FSM Bridge
A woman who attempted suicide on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in Istanbul was rescued through the intervention of police teams.

During the night, a woman got out of a taxi on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and attempted to commit suicide. Bridge Protection Police, who reached the scene quickly, called for a negotiator police officer to bring the situation under control.
The negotiator police officer spoke with the woman, who was in the middle of the bridge, for a long time and tried to persuade her. After efforts lasting approximately 1.5 hours, the woman gave up on committing suicide and was brought down from the bridge safely.
Traffic congestion occurred on the bridge during this incident, but the situation was brought under control thanks to the rapid intervention of the police teams.
