Suspect arrested for allegedly damaging Atatürk bust

A.A., who was detained on allegations of damaging an Atatürk bust located in the garden of Salih Zeki Gür Primary School in the Menteşe district of Muğla, has been arrested.

The incident occurred in the garden of the school on Sıtkı Koçman Street in the Kötekli neighborhood. Following a report that the Atatürk bust had been removed from its place, police teams launched an investigation in the area.

Teams from the Muğla Provincial Police Department's Security Branch examined security camera footage and conducted field research. As a result of these efforts, A.A., who was identified as a suspect, was taken into custody.

After completing the procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse. A.A. was arrested by the judge on duty and sent to prison.
