Suspect fleeing from police commits suicide after being caught
In Samsun, an individual being pursued by police ended his own life by shooting himself in the head after being apprehended.

The incident occurred around 21:00 on Anadolu Boulevard in the Yeşildere neighborhood of Samsun's Atakum district.
According to the information obtained, Soner O. (42), who was being followed by plainclothes police teams, held a handgun to his head while inside his vehicle after being caught when police vehicles blocked his path.
Despite police shouting "Don't do it," Soner O. pulled the trigger and shot himself in the head. Critically injured, Soner O. was taken by ambulance to Samsun Training and Research Hospital.
Soner O. could not be saved despite all interventions at the emergency department and lost his life. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
