Suspected food poisoning in prison: 171 inmates hospitalized
In a statement regarding the inmates who fell ill after eating at the open penal institution, the Sakarya Governor's Office stated, "171 inmates have been transferred to hospitals as a precaution due to suspected food poisoning, and no serious health conditions have been encountered so far."

The incident occurred at the open penal institution located in the Ferizli district.
According to the information obtained, complaints such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and weakness were observed in some inmates following dinner.
A total of 171 inmates, believed to have been affected by the food they consumed, were taken under treatment.
In a statement regarding the matter, the Sakarya Governor's Office said, "Following the dinner served to inmates in the evening hours at the Ferizli Open Penal Institution, symptoms of food poisoning such as vomiting were observed in some inmates, and their initial interventions were carried out at the institution's infirmary.
171 inmates have been transferred to hospitals as a precaution due to suspected food poisoning, and no serious health conditions have been encountered so far.
Additionally, a field hospital has been set up within the open prison as a precaution.
Necessary examinations and investigations into the matter have been initiated, and the general condition of the patients is being closely monitored," it was stated.
