Suspicious object found on Sinop beach

A citizen swimming in the sea on the northern coast of Sinop noticed a suspicious object in the water that caught their attention. The object, which was removed from the sea and brought to the shore by the citizen, resembled a rocket or missile part due to its appearance.

It has not yet been determined whether the object is ammunition, military equipment, or a part thereof. The suspicious object also drew the attention of other citizens.

While the nature of the object is expected to be determined following a technical examination, the investigation will also clarify whether it possesses ammunition characteristics and how it reached the sea.

On the other hand, a similar piece of ammunition had previously been recovered from the sea in the Ayancık district of Sinop.
