A teacher who suffered a heart attack yesterday while on duty at a ballot box in the Edremit district of Balıkesir has passed away.

Bilge Duman (47), a Turkish language teacher at Altınoluk Niyazi Eroğlu Imam Hatip Secondary School who fell ill and suffered a heart attack while serving as a ballot box chairperson yesterday, passed away today despite all medical interventions at the hospital where she was taken.
The passing of teacher Bilge has left her colleagues in mourning, and it has been learned that her funeral will be held tomorrow in Manisa.
