Tevfik Bektaş loses his life in Russian attack on Kyiv
A truck driver from Sakarya lost his life after choosing not to enter a shelter during Russia's 12-hour bombing campaign on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

According to information obtained, Tevfik Bektaş, a truck driver from Sakarya who had transported a load from Akyazı to the Ukrainian city of Kyiv, began waiting in the customs area after unloading his cargo.
Bektaş, a father of 3, allegedly chose to remain in his truck despite warnings to enter shelters issued before the 12-hour bombardment launched by Russia.
Bektaş lost his life as a result of a bomb striking the area where he was located during the bombardment.
It was announced that 3 other people also lost their lives in the attack alongside Bektaş.
Shared footage captured the moments when trucks and large vehicles caught fire following the bombardment.
