During the meeting,Avdullar Village headman, who took the microphone,Village HeadmanAhmet Temel, regarding thenatural mineral andgeothermal water resources in his village being put up for tender, evaluatedthe process.He stated that he learnedabout the decision regarding the tender from local media. Stating that he learnedabout it, Temel expressed that this situationhas caused unrest among thevillagers.

Stating that the citizens hold him responsible, Temel said that heResponding to the remark'Go and stop the water you sold',he said, "Why are we, as headmen, responsible for everything? We fought a battle regarding the mine,for 1.5 years.For that,I thank God ...We managed to do some things, but now this water issue hasarisen. For this,we gathered with the villagers in the eveningand made a decision. We declared our objection in our decision. Who are we supposed to make our voices heard to? I haveno idea about anything. Why do we, as headmen, have to learn about decisions made at the table from the media? are we learning?I learned about this issuefrom the media yesterday.Myvillagers are telling me, 'You sold our village's water.'Is this how we are going tofind out, bylearning this way?what are we going to do as headman?he said.
On the other hand, according to the announcement publishedin the Official Gazette,the Provincial Committeeis putting up for tender the geothermal and natural mineral water exploration licensesat 4 different points in the Mudurnu and Mengen districts.it was learned that it wouldgo out totender.
