The accident occurred in the evening hours at the Akşehir Train Station Junction on the D-300 Highway. According to the information obtained, a semi-truck with license plate 01 ASV 343, driven by O.Y., which was traveling from Konya towards Afyonkarahisar and had stopped at a red light, was struck by a semi-truck with license plate 42 AGK 715, driven by H.K., which was traveling in the same direction.

Following this, a chain-reaction traffic accident occurred when a semi-truck with license plate 10 AIY 433, driven by S.Ç., struck the truck driven by H.K., and a semi-truck with license plate 16 Y 0358, driven by Nedim Kılıç, struck the truck driven by S.Ç. Numerous police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident, where there was heavy rainfall.

During the checks performed by medical teams at the scene, it was determined that the driver of the semi-truck with license plate 16 Y 0358, Nedim Kılıç, had lost his life after becoming trapped in the cabin. The driver's body was recovered by fire department teams who arrived at the scene. The other truck drivers injured in the accident, S.Ç. (31), O.Y. (35), and H.K. (48), were taken to Akşehir State Hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment.

While police teams took precautions to regulate traffic flow and ensure safety, also affected by the heavy rainfall, the road was reopened to traffic after the vehicles involved in the accident were removed. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
