Transformer fire in Bayrampaşa disrupts tram services
A fire broke out in a transformer near the Bosna Çukurçeşme Tram Station in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul. Transportation on the T4 Topkapı-Mescidi Selam tram line was disrupted after power was cut.

The incident occurred on Eski Edirne Asfaltı Street in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul. According to reports, smoke began to rise for an unknown reason from a transformer near the Bosna Çukurçeşme Station, which provides power to the Topkapı-Mescidi Selam Tram Line.
Upon notification, police, medical, fire, and natural gas teams were dispatched to the scene.
While police teams closed the road to traffic, firefighters intervened in the blaze. Due to the fire in the transformer, transportation on the T4 Topkapı-Mescidi Selam tram line was disrupted.
Passengers on the trams disembarked and began walking along the tracks. The fire was extinguished following the intervention of the fire department.
