Two detained in double murder in Afyonkarahisar
Two people found critically injured in a car in the Hocalar district have lost their lives. A 78-year-old father and his son have been detained in connection with the incident.

M.Ş. (30) and U.Y. (34), who were found critically injured in a car in the Hocalar district of Afyonkarahisar, have died at the hospital to which they were transported.
After local residents noticed two people lying motionless in a car with license plate 31 AKE 220 and reported the situation, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The two individuals, who were found covered in blood inside the vehicle, were taken to the hospital following initial intervention but could not be saved.
Police investigations determined that there was a prior feud between M.Ş. and M.Y. due to allegations of threats and insults. According to the information obtained, M.Ş. and U.Y. had gone to M.Y.'s house around noon to discuss and resolve the issue.
It is alleged that a new argument broke out between the parties there, and as the argument escalated, M.Y.'s 78-year-old father, S.Y., fired 4 shots at M.Ş. and U.Y. with a shotgun.
Following the incident, S.Y. and his son M.Y. were taken into custody. While the suspects' processing at the police station continues, the investigation launched into the incident is ongoing.
