Two earthquakes occurred in the Menteşe district of Muğla 4 minutes apart.
According to AFAD data, the first earthquake in Menteşe occurred at 21:44 with a magnitude of 3.9 and at a depth of 6.97 kilometers.
The second earthquake in Menteşe occurred at 21:48 with a magnitude of 3.5. The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers, caused panic in the city.
STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR OF MUĞLA
Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık shared a post on his social media account regarding the earthquake.
In his message, Akbıyık stated, "According to information received from the AFAD Presidency, earthquakes measuring 3.9 at 21:44 and 3.5 at 21:48 occurred in our Menteşe district. There are no negative reports in our province resulting from the earthquakes. Get well soon to all our citizens."
