"BALCONIES ARE UNSAFE"
On the other hand, a citizen named Abdullah Yıldırım, who stated that his two-year-old daughter fell from the 7th floor about 11 years ago, said he could not forget that day and issued warnings to families.
Yıldırım stated that windows and balconies should be protected with railings, saying, "A two-year-old child has fallen from the 7th floor. I am very saddened. May God help her mother, father, and her entire family. My child also fell from the balcony when she was two years old.
I was truly very sad at that time. I cannot forget that day. Thank God, it was a blessing from the Almighty that my child survived safe and sound. But this means we need to take precautions.
Precautions come from us first, then from God. I look around, balconies are unsafe. No security measures are being taken, nor is anything else being done. Our people need to take action on this issue urgently. Measures must be taken to prevent children from falling," he said.
