Unlicensed animal hoof processing facility sealed in Eyüpsultan

A raid was conducted on an unlicensed animal hoof processing facility in Eyüpsultan following reports from citizens. 500 kilograms of animal hooves were destroyed, and the illegal business was sealed and shut down by municipal police.

An intervention was carried out at a facility in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district that posed a significant risk to food safety. An inspection was conducted following complaints from local residents regarding an animal hoof processing facility on Görgülü Street in the Pirinççi neighborhood, which was determined to be operated without a license by an individual identified as C.Ç.

JOINT INSPECTION CONDUCTED

Upon receiving the report, the Eyüpsultan Municipality Municipal Police Department, the District Directorate of Agriculture, and gendarmerie teams took action. The joint inspection revealed that the business did not possess any legal licenses or permits. Approximately 500 kilograms of cattle hooves were found at the processing facility.

ANIMAL HOOVES SEIZED AND DESTROYED

The animal hooves, which were found to be processed under conditions that did not comply with health and hygiene regulations, were seized. These products, which threatened food safety, were destroyed by authorities using appropriate methods.

FACILITY SEALED AND SHUT DOWN

The business, which was determined to be operating without a license or oversight, was officially sealed and shut down by teams from the Eyüpsultan Municipality Municipal Police Department.
