In the Sungurlu district of Çorum, one person lost his life in an accident that occurred when the vehicle he had hitched a ride in overturned. Two people injured in the accident were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred on the Çorum-Sungurlu highway near the Koparan location. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 06 ZCG 41, driven by S.H., overturned and rolled into a ditch after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
In the accident, where the car turned into a heap of scrap metal, driver S.H. and passenger L.Ü. were injured, while Yunus Anat lost his life at the scene.
Upon the notification made to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulances after the initial intervention at the scene and were taken under treatment.
Anat's body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy after the investigation conducted at the scene. It was learned that Yunus Anat had hitched a ride to get into the car in which he lost his life.
The car was towed to a parking lot after the investigation conducted by traffic teams at the scene of the accident. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
