Verdict reached for woman who opened fire on man sitting in a cafe

In Aksaray, a woman who opened fire on a man sitting in a cafe—an incident captured on security cameras—has been arrested by judicial authorities and sent to prison.

The incident occurred yesterday evening at a cafe located in the Çiftlik neighborhood on the Aksaray-Ankara highway. According to the information obtained, a 36-year-old woman identified as B.S. had been following a 39-year-old man identified as A.B., alleging that he had been in a relationship with her and had been spreading rumors about her.

As the man was sitting in a cafe drinking tea with a relative, the woman entered the cafe and began firing at A.B. with a handgun she pulled from her bag in front of dozens of people. The man, caught off guard, tried to flee for his life despite being wounded, while other customers in the cafe either ran away or hid under tables.

The events were captured on the cafe's security camera. The woman, who fired approximately 7 shots, then put the gun back in her bag and walked out of the cafe as if nothing had happened. The man, who was struck by 3 bullets, was taken to the Emergency Department of Aksaray Training and Research Hospital by 112 Emergency Service teams, who arrived at the scene after being notified by citizens nearby.

It was learned that the man, who is undergoing treatment there, described the incident to cameras, saying, "She claimed I was cheating, that I was having an affair with her. There is no such thing. She told her husband that she had been in a relationship with me."

The woman, B.S., was apprehended and taken into custody by police teams. The handgun used in the crime was seized during a search of the woman, and after her procedures at the police station, she was referred to judicial authorities today and was arrested and sent to prison.
