A fire that broke out at a cotton warehouse in the Çilek neighborhood of Mersin's Akdeniz district was brought under control as a result of the intensive efforts of the teams. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
While numerous fire trucks and police teams were dispatched to the scene, security measures were also tightened. A riot control vehicle (TOMA) belonging to the Provincial Security Directorate also participated in the firefighting efforts.
In addition to the fire crews, construction machinery also supported the efforts to bring the fire under control. Currently, the teams are continuing cooling operations to ensure that the fire is completely extinguished.
