The accident occurred around 22:40 on Cumhuriyet Street.
According to allegations, Cemal Alpay, who was trying to cross the street on his bicycle at a pedestrian crossing, was struck by a car whose license plate and driver's name could not be identified.
Alpay, who fell to the ground due to the impact, was then run over by another car coming from behind, which subsequently fled the scene.
Alpay, who was left lying on the ground covered in blood, lost his life at the scene. The incident was recorded moment by moment by a security camera.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
