ELDERLY MOTORCYCLIST IN CRITICAL CONDITION
The truck with license plate 33 AZA 521, driven by Sametcan T. and heading toward Mersin, collided with the motorcycle with license plate 07 AFR 837, driven by Ahmet K. (73).
Motorcycle driver Ahmet K. was seriously injured in the accident. Upon notification by citizens, ambulance and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
After the initial intervention by medical teams, the elderly man was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Truck driver Sametcan T. was taken to the police station.
It was learned that the condition of Ahmet K., the motorcycle driver who was seriously injured in the accident, remains critical. An investigation into the accident has been launched.

Mevlüt Şahinli, who witnessed the accident, said, "I think the truck ran a red light. The accident happened when the motorcyclist hit it from the side. The injured person's condition was quite serious; he was taken to the hospital."
