Woman who shot and wounded primary school teacher at school appears in court
A woman who shot and wounded a primary school teacher at the school where he worked in Kayseri has appeared in court.

The hearing held at the 2nd High Criminal Court was attended by the detained defendant, 31-year-old mother of four Ş.A., with her baby in her arms.
While the complainant K.Ç.K. was not present at the hearing, the lawyers for both parties were in attendance.
In her defense, the defendant, who is being tried for "attempted murder," stated that the complainant was her daughter's teacher and that they had been together for 2.5 years.
Defendant Ş.A. claimed that the complainant had previously told her, "Divorce your husband, let's get married," and stated that after she learned she was pregnant, he asked her not to terminate the pregnancy, but that his attitude changed after the baby was born.
Furthermore, she said that the complainant had threatened her, insulted her, and subjected her to violence. The defendant stated that on the day of the incident, she went to the school where the complainant worked, and that when he attempted to assault her in the assistant principal's office, the gun went off accidentally while she was trying to point it at him. The victim's lawyer stated that his client did not wish to press charges against the defendant.
The court panel decided to continue the defendant's detention and adjourned the hearing to address missing information.
THE INCIDENT
The incident took place on February 5, 2024, at a school in the Şeker neighborhood of the Kocasinan district. While the wounded teacher was taken to the hospital, the female attacker was detained at the scene.
