Workplace accident at a factory in Kocaeli: Two workers lost their lives
Two workers lost their lives in a workplace accident at a factory in the GEBKİM Organized Industrial Zone in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli.

Kocaeli Governor İlhami Aktaş announced that there was no explosion or fire in the incident that occurred at a factory in the Gebze Chemistry Specialized Industrial Zone (GEBKİM) in Dilovası, but that a workplace accident took place during maintenance work.
Governor Aktaş stated that two workers lost their lives in the accident and there were no injuries.
The incident occurred during maintenance work, and two workers, whose names have not yet been released, lost their lives as a result of the workplace accident. Upon notification, fire and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. Examinations by medical teams determined that the two workers had died at the scene.
Following the accident, security measures were increased in the area, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
