Young man mistaken for a burglar causes panic
In Bartın, a young man who entered his home through a window in the middle of the night caused a panic. Police teams, who went on high alert and went door-to-door, returned to their normal duties once the truth was revealed.

According to the information obtained, a young man, whose name was not disclosed, living on Ahçeloğlu Street in the Kemerköprü neighborhood of Bartın, entered his ground-floor apartment through a window because he had forgotten his keys inside.
A citizen passing by in a vehicle became suspicious of the situation and called the 112 emergency hotline. Upon the caller stating that the individual might be a burglar, a large number of police officers and night watchmen were dispatched to the area.
The teams went door-to-door searching for a building with an iron door and a window close to the ground. After re-establishing contact with the informant, the teams found the described address following the conversation.
The teams knocked on the door of the house and learned that the young people who came to the door lived at the reported address and had forgotten their keys inside.
The teams also knocked on surrounding doors, took the young people's IDs, and performed a General Information Gathering (GBT) check. After no negative findings emerged during the checks and neighbors confirmed the young people's statements, the teams returned to their normal duties.
