Young nurse found dead in hospital where she was staying as a companion
A nurse who was staying as a companion for her grandfather at a private hospital in Beylikdüzü and fell ill has died, allegedly as a result of a drug being injected into her body. A doctor friend of the nurse, who was detained in connection with the incident, claimed that the young nurse had injected the drug into herself.

The incident occurred on May 13 at the Private Birinci Hospital in Beylikdüzü. According to allegations, 24-year-old nurse Selen Bilgin, who was staying as a companion for her sick grandfather, was found dead in the hospital room in the morning.
Following the situation, police teams and a prosecutor arrived at the scene. After the examinations, it was revealed that a drug used before anesthesia had been injected into Bilgin's arm.
During the questioning at the scene, the statement of doctor F.A. was taken. F.A. claimed that his friend Bilgin had injected the drug into her own arm during the night to fall asleep.
DRUG VIAL NOT FOUND AT THE SCENE
According to allegations, the prosecutor's office, suspicious because the drug vial was not in sight, later found the vial on doctor F.A.
After being processed by the police, F.A. was referred to the courthouse and was released under judicial control by the judgeship where he was brought on charges of 'intentional killing'.
The young nurse's body was laid to rest in Avcılar following an autopsy and a funeral prayer.
The family, reached by reporters via telephone, stated that they did not wish to speak about the matter.
