Gözde Şeker, one of the channel's experienced news anchors, announced that she would be leaving her post after tomorrow's broadcast. In her statement during today's live broadcast, Şeker said, "Tomorrow will be my final broadcast on Halk TV," as she bid farewell to the viewers.
This development follows a series of recent departures of presenters from the channel. In recent weeks, Seda Selek announced firsthand at the conclusion of her long-running program 'Neden-Sonuç' that she had decided to leave Halk TV, stating, "Know that I have extremely valid reasons." Following Seda Selek, another presenter at the channel, Sorel Dağıstanlı, also shared his resignation through a statement on his social media account. Dağıstanlı stated, "I have left Halk TV, where I have worked for 5 years. The reason is the social media post I made some time ago regarding the departure of my friend Seda Selek."
Buket Güler also announced to the audience today that she has parted ways with Halk TV. Güler said, "In this process, I stand in solidarity with all my colleagues, whether they have left or remained, who protect the dignity of our profession under all circumstances."
